When advertising your home for sale, does the quantity and quality of pictures really matter? We believe it matters very much. While Buyer’s are sifting through the many listings on-line, you only have a few seconds to keep them engaged. If the Buyer comes across a blurry photo, poorly positioned photo, or lack of photos, for example only 1 or 2, they will just move on to the next listing. Don’t believe this theory, try it out for yourself. Now that you’ve tested this theory, I ask the question, what can be done to keep buyers engaged to look through all the photos (in our board we are allowed a maximum of 30 photos) and then call to book a showing.
When you agree to list with our brokerage, we assess your home together with you and come up with a plan on how to make it look it’s best. Sometimes just minor adjustments are sufficient to show the house at its best, other times we need to call in a professional stager to help us get another perspective of how the house would be best displayed. Once we are certain the house is looking its best, your Realtor will then decide whether they can take their own images or bring in our photographer to capture the home both inside and out. Additional lighting may be required along with a high quality camera producing a high quality picture, we can produce an image that potential buyers are pleased to look at and will keep them engaged in the listing and ultimately call or email us to set up a showing. We are also equipped with an in-house licensed drone operator and registered drone though Transport Canada, so in some instances we can offer aerial photography of our rural listings. Drone photography offers a whole new way for buyers to view rural properties. A single picture can capture possibly the whole property. It also offers an idea of what is around the subject property. This makes for a very positive experience for buyers looking at purchasing rural or even waterfront property. For sellers this means more traffic to your listing and ultimately a better chance at getting it sold in a reasonable amount of time. All of this combined, produces a high quality listing that will drive traffic to your property.
